Separators (or Spacers)

Spacers are mini-rubber bands that are placed between your teeth to gently make space to fit orthodontic bands at your next appointment.  Learn more  

Elastics (Rubber Bands)

Wearing elastics (rubber bands) improves the fit of your upper and lower teeth. Rubber bands work far more efficiently if they are worn as prescribed. Learn more  

Palate Expander

Herbst Appliance

This is a growth appliance and reduces protrusion of the front teeth by encouraging the lower jaw forward. It is used in actively growing children and is worn for about 12 to 15 months. Learn more  

FORSUS Bite Springs

Distal Jet Appliance

The Distal Jet is used to move upper molars back. Learn more  

Transpalatal Arch

A Transpalatal Arch can work as a retainer or correct molar rotations. Learn more  

Nance, Lingual Arch, or Band and Loop

A Nance, Lingual Arch, or Band and Loop allow crowded teeth to spread out by holding natural spaces.

Clear Removable Retainers (Essix)

This clear retainer is worn full time for six weeks after braces are removed. This period is when the teeth are most susceptible to movement. Learn more  

Removable Retainers (Hawleys)

Retainers hold your teeth in their corrected positions after they have been straightened. This is the most important phase of treatment. Specific instructions will be given to you at your delivery. Wearing your retainers more is always better! Learn more  

Fixed/Glued Wire Retainers

Bonded retainers are "permanent" retainers. A thin wire is bonded to the inner surfaces of your teeth, so it is not visible, and is there all the time. These are great for patients who began very crowded or spaced. Learn more
